More than two hundred Bach cantatas have been preserved from the original amount of six hundred and these works demonstrate the fascinating compendium of composition art of the master seated in Leipzig. Bach sacred cantatas, alongside with his Passions represent peak of the German Protestant music, at the same time the music appeals to hearts of today's listeners with communicativeness, musical mastery and emotional richness.
