Jazz Courtyard 2023 (Brno)

The eighth edition of the Jazz Courtyard will once again take place in Prague and Brno. The Jazz Courtyard will bring a unique series of concerts in both cities jointly initiated by the jazz departments of Prague's HAMU and Brno's JAMU. In both the Czech and Moravian capitals, student ensembles from both schools will present their own long-term projects of selected students and teachers.
In Prague, the event will be hosted by the HAMU courtyard on Malostranské náměstí on June 20. In Brno, this project will be held on June 21 in the courtyard of the Old Town Hall. The event is supported by the JazzFestBrno festival and admission is free.
Among the members of the bands there are also seasoned jazzmen, whether from the ranks of students or teachers. There will be personalities of the jazz scene such as Matúš Jakabčic, Jiří Slavík, David Dorůžka, Jaromír Honzák and many others.
