Mladí Ladí Jazz 2017 / Oran Etkin

He absorbed in his energetic jazz formation musical influences from Africa, the Far East, Europe and Israel, where he originates. One could say that he was a genuine pioneer "world music" in its truest sense. In Brno he will perform together with Dusan Černák (drums) and Martin Kocián (bass).

Before Oran Etkin plays with his project Vit Beneš,with a band that formed spontaneously at JAMU. All members are trying to find new ways to interpret and play with color combinations.

The evening will culminate with Andrej Farkaš (SK), 22-year-musician who studied at the Conservatory in Banska Bystrica. Five years ago, he won the prize for solo performance in the competition New Faces of Slovak jazz. Currently he's working on a new album, "Gipsy Young Generation" with Joseef Fečo and his son Martin. Along with them will play Erik Kováč, a student playing the guitar at the Brno JAMU. he also plays in the band Especias in the Slovak Republic and teaches at the Music School in Liptovský Hrádek.

The event is organized Nerudný Fest.cz, o.s. in cooperation with JazzFest. The concert is part of the Festival of Mladí Ladí Jazz, the first jazz festival for young people!
