If you ask your favorite alternative rapper who his favorite alternative rapper is, there's a good chance that one of the names that will come up will be Onry Ozzborn, aka Dark Time Sunshine - a duo that has been DJing with Osborne since 2009 and producer Zavala.
Dark Time Sunshine are, without exaggeration, a cult whose reach goes far beyond the hip hop underground: the album "Anx", which was released in 2012 (and features guests, among others, P.O.S, AESOP Rock or Busdriver), is by far the most successful album of the Fake Four label. which was founded by our old friend Ceschi. Over the years, Fake Four has released acclaimed recordings by musicians such as Sadistik, Moodie Black, Serengeti, Astronautalis, and Sole - none of them even came close to the impact and success of "Anx" by Dark Time Sunshine...
In addition to the deep mark he left with Dark Time Sunshine, Onry Ozzborn is also known for his involvement in Grayskul, Oldominion, and also for his incredibly productive solo work (in 2018, he appeared at several concerts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, among others): worth mentioning for example, there is the remarkable project "DUO" - a record that consists entirely of collaborations between Osborn and his friends, featuring Homeboy Sandman, Sadistik, Rob Sonic and others.
The new recording Dark Time Sunshine had to wait ten long years, but the record "Lore" (2022) definitely did not disappoint - quite the opposite. Zavala's precise atmospheric beats provide plenty of space for Onry's utterly inimitable rap, whose introverted delivery (Osborne's stage presence is basically the perfect antithesis of what most of us think of when we think of the term "alternative rapper") carries a sometimes uncomfortably open personal message from an ongoing mental health struggles.
