RED DONS (USA)
The Portland punk sensation Red Dons, who became an inspiration for dozens of other bands, returns to Brno with a new record. She captivated her fans with an unmistakable formula in which melancholy alternates with catchy explosiveness, unpredictable guitar riffs, strong harmonizing vocals, a decent retro sound and a reference to bands like Wipers, Germs or the scandi punk wave of the bee Gorilla Angreb, Regulations, etc.
After two big albums on the Deranged Records label, Red Dons released the album The Dead Hand Of Tradition in 2015. The proven duo Deranged / Taken By Surprise records took care of the release, and the promoter group The Shullins brought the band to Brno. The Red Dons have currently put together an EAST / WEST compilation featuring various singles, rarities and material from sold-out 7-inches. It comes out on September 8th in six different colorways.
The band, which was formed back in 2006, has always acted as a collective of people who lived on different continents, but the link has always been Portland. And so it is not surprising that during its existence we can find in the ranks, in addition to the base formed by the bands The Observers, Clorox Girsk, Revisions, also members of The Estranged/From Ashes Rise, Born/Dead, No More Art, Piss Test The Chemicals,... it is worth mentioning that bass player Daniel Husayn is behind "North London Bomb Factory", where he gives the final mix and master to records such as The Estranged, Criminal Code, Spectres...

CHOROBOPOP
Boys trio from Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. Ctib, Keč and Zay. Guys with guitars, an automaton, keyboards sometimes, but mainly with an overlap, when nothing is impossible. The band Chorobopop released their second album Odrazit od dna on Malarie Records. Even on this current recording, the band develops the poetics indicated by its title in eleven songs: textually epistolary, musically pop. True, not always. Voices crackle and ring, guitars ring and cut, bass lines rule. Here and there, son.
