For the first time in Brno, we have the opportunity to experience a concert by one of the bands of the famous Hellcat records stable, which falls under the belt of bad-ass motherfucker Tim Armstrong from the legendary Rancid. Kevin Bevona from the divine The Interrupters also participates in the production of the last records.
Grade 2 from the British town of Ryde were formed in May 2013, they first tried to play covers of their favorite songs from The Jam, The Stranglers, Booze and Glory, or Lion's Law. They gradually included original work and played in local pubs and small music bars before they got to jump ahead of more famous names. From 2013 to 2018, they released on the German label Contra records and finally, in 2018, they signed a contract with the aforementioned Hellcat label. Later, they describe how it almost didn't happen, because they often played concerts completely "drunk as fuck" and Lars Frederiksen, with whom they shared the stage x times, said that he had never seen anything like that in his life and wanted nothing to do with them anymore.
During their ten-year career, they traveled all over Europe, including a stop in the Czech Republic, in 2018 they are starting to conquer the USA and Canada. Today they have a joint tour with The Interrupters, Dropkick Murphys, or Social Distortion and above all an excellent discography. So far, the last, fourth eponymous album, called simply Grade 2, is a palette of hits like Under The Streetlight, or It's a mad world, baby!
A unique cocktail of punk rock with an American cut, a pinch of Oi! and natural British insolence and flutiness. In places, it's like hearing Rancid featuring the Beastie Boys! A fusion of island-Californian influences makes Grade 2 a hot iron in the fire on the current world stage. Add to that the very young age of the performers, their future can still be very interesting. Be there!

Electric guitar massacre. Razor sharp riffs, pissed off vocals, beastly sound, beastly pace, beastly everything. In January, they celebrate 10 years on the scene and return to Kabinet after less than a year, so to speak, to renumber the lineup of bands. This is going to be a hell of a mela!
