BREN (BAPTISM)

The band BREN (Brnoenfield) presents an unmistakable sound combining elements of shoegaze, blues, slowcore and no wave with dark Czech lyrics. They emerged from the musical connection between Ivo Lorenc and Šimon Podrazil, who decided to share their musical visions.

In March 2024, they will release their debut album called "Tmou," which they recorded in the fall of 2023 under the guidance of producer Michal "Amák" Šťastný at the Golden Hive studio in Prague. The album, imbued with dark and suggestive emotions, will be released on the Kabinet Records label.

BREN draws inspiration not only from foreign artists such as Slowdive, Jay Jayle, Swans or Nick Cave, but also from the domestic music scene, with influences from Priessnitz.

CACTUS

The band Kakktus, whose dark history dates back to 2006, was formed in Šternberk in Moravia, where it started playing in the deep underground of the local village cultists and thus became part of the regional punk scene, from which it emerged over time and crystallized into a genre less distinct form, thanks to which becomes a kind of punk outcast.

Today, Kakktus moves between post-punk and dark energetic rock and roll with elements of blues and songwriting, which is based on Czech texts based on the traditions of the Czech underground and cursed poets.

THE SEA OF DAYS

Songs not only about love and the stories that lead to it, inspired by the aesthetics of the Twin Peaks series and musical legends such as the Slovak singer Dežo Ursiny, the group Buty or the Californian group The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The band was founded by Martin 'Marcyn' Hampel and Lukáš Lukáš in 2022. They first drew attention to themselves with the single Vlasy, which was released in February 2022, and this fall saw the release of an eponymous debut album with fourteen songs. The band was marked by Headliner magazine as a discovery of the Czech independent scene, and the album is receiving positive feedback from a wide range of musical circles.

The live line-up includes: Martin 'Marcyn' Hampel (vocals, guitar); Lukáš Lukáš (guitar, vocals); Marek Slonina (guitar); Kubo Hajduch (keyboards); Marek Chopper (bass); Petr Novák (drums).
