TOAD PLANET (BAPTISM)
Loads of narrative music, projections, improvisations, melting, flying... Lick the frog and fly with us. It's pretty self-explanatory.
Toad Planet, a musical project organically formed around musicians from Ostrava and theater artists from JAMU in Brno, releases three singles on 24.5. debut album entitled Bloudím under the independent Brno label Kabinet Records. Their multi-genre work is mainly influenced by progressive and psychedelic rock, but also hip hop, noise rock, alt rock, etc.
The album is a collective creation of all band members. Its dramaturgy is based on the concept of the album as a complete follow-up work with an indicated narrative arc. It is connected with the characteristic live performance of the band, which, in addition to the theatrical performance of the performers, is also based on visual sensations in the form of live projections from the sixth backstage member of the band, Tomáš Mohr. The recording itself took place at the turn of 2022 and 2023 in the Hladina studio in Ostrava under the supervision of Michal Černý. Producer Vojtěch Bareš from Brno took care of the final mix and master. The visuals of the entire record were created by Jana Kamlerová.
Leeb0rn
The work of Leeb0rn from Olomouc is characterized by musical twists and experimental tastes, which they combine with dreamy melodies. With the current record "Hauau", they brought a greater variety of genres to their music - they range from shoegaze or gothic rock to somewhere near lo-fi pop. They perform live as a trio.
