The Lyon band CELESTE has long been considered one of the most important bands of the famous "French avant-garde black-metal scene". No wonder, because this group has more than 600 concerts worldwide, as well as appearances at the most prestigious extreme music festivals (Hellfest, Roskilde, Copenhell, SummerBreeze, Brutal Assault, Roadburn, Psycho Las Vegas, ...).
CELESTE play a perfect mix of sludge / post-hardcore with black-metal and hints of doom. Recommended for fans of Breach, Neurosis and the old Cult of Lunaor Deathspell Omega. Darkness is really a word that fits the band. Live, CELESTE are a very specific band as they play in complete darkness and use only red light, red headlamps and strobe lights for their performances.
