VOJTIK
The young musician Vojtik, who studied acting at the conservatory, attracted the attention of Czech and Slovak audiences last year with his viral hit Detvianský sen. This was followed by the pop-sounding and genre-free album Kvety z Podpoľania, where the themes of coming out and deep emotions and social criticism are among the love songs.
Vojtik started with music in a Roma folklore ensemble, and only during the pandemic did he gather the courage and finally decided to publish the tracks he had stored in a drawer. In the beginning, he was mainly inspired by the musician Ethel Cain. "In her songs, there are descriptions of a modest, simple life in poverty and many similar topics, I also like her production," admitted Vojtik. Among other things, he introduces the single Detvian Dream with her quote: "God loves you, but not enough to save you." Among his other favorite musicians are Lana Del Ray or Lorde. He himself would like to act as a figure that helps young people gain self-confidence and the strength to do what they want.
