INSANITY
INSANIA on the new album GRRRotesky (Smile Music, 2022) follows up on the previous album In the beginning was spam and continues to layer sarcasm and irony on the basis of strong metal rhythms with a strong electro-synthesizer track. On GRRRotesky, however, this time he goes even further in perspective and self-irony, as indicated by the songs "Narvi svoj testosterone inam", "Ses trapnil" or "Jedeme peklo". The concept of the recording plays with the grotesqueness of historical events, the visual is conceived as a gangsta version of grotesques of the 20s of the 20th century. The title of both the album and the tour "GRRRotesky" is a combination of two emotions: fun vs. rage (comic grrr) that will complement each other on the boards signifying the underworld!
INSANIA was formed in 1987, after several concerts, it was banned from further activity in 1988 by the Brno StB. After that, he worked for a while under the cover name Skimmed, and under this banner in 1990 he released the LP New Insanity, one of the first independent records in Czechoslovakia. In 1992, he renewed his activities again under the name INSANIA and in 1994, in a new line-up, he released the first CD Crossfade, which was well received abroad. The band continues to perform concerts throughout Europe, goes on tour to the USA and plays together with bands such as Voivod, Nomeansno or Killing Joke. Her friendly relationship with Jello Biafra (from the San Francisco Dead Kennedys) dates back to 1991.
INSANIA is a cult on the domestic hard alternative scene. During her tenure, she received the Anděl award four times, among other things. The last time was in 2023, when GRRRotesky's album was awarded as the best rock album of the previous year. A number of awards also come from the rock-oriented Břitva poll, including the inclusion of the group in the Gallery of Legends.

A crossover band playing since the early nineties, with 14 studio albums and hundreds of concerts to their credit.
The great weapon of the group is the perfectly polished sound, the top performances of all the musicians, the hit ambitions of the songs, which are supported
unrepeatable variety and fantasy, great Czech lyrics and precise vocals.
Several of her albums, including the current album Romance doll and hammer, were nominated among the three best Rock acts of the year in the prestigious poll of the Academy of Popular Music ANDĚL.
The current record also won the Album of the Year 2021 award at the Czech Annual Rock Awards Břitva.
