Funk legend and trombone magician Fred Wesley will visit the Metro Music Bar with the new JB's - the band that accompanied James Brown is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
The name of almost 80-year-old trombonist Fred Wesley is often mentioned in connection with the most important figures in the history of the funk genre. In the sixties and seventies he worked with James Brown, then with Parliament-Funkadelic, Van Morrison, Ray Charles, De La Soul and Bootsy Collins. He connects his musical beginnings as a teenager with Ike and Tina Turner.
Czech Monkey Business welcomed him as a special guest on their debut studio album Why Be In When You Could Be Out!
