Light By The Sea is a musical project of Davy Knobel and Eszter Anna Baumann. Their music is made up of elements of art rock, avant-garde and folk music with a catchy pop atmosphere.
Since building a time machine seems impossible so far, with the power of sound, Davy Knobel and Eszter Anna Baumann wanted to do it their way. In their small apartment, they surrounded themselves with their favorite vinyls and concert tapes, which resulted in writing their own songs, inspired by their great musical heroes. Light By The Sea's full-length album Only Death Makes Icons (2021) was released shortly after. With the help of producer and music geek Eddy Bopp, they brought back a forgotten sound, as listeners can hear some really special instrumentation and tape sound thanks to Eddy's studio equipment, previously used by George Harrison and Genesis. As it is not often that a Dutch guitarist and composer makes music with a Hungarian artist, their music is a really beautiful combination of West and East, as their sound consists of alternative rock, new wave, avant-garde and folk music elements and their lyrics are inspired by the rise and fall of great heroes and sad tragedies.
Light By The Sea are now preparing for the release of new singles and a European tour starting in March 2023. They will be bringing their mesmerizing show including live visuals to club and festival stages across Europe! How to describe the Light By The Sea show? It's a rollercoaster of energy, dance beats and clean wave bass lines combined with dreaminess with their slow and mesmerizing tracks like Pisces Moon and Lupercalia In Neptunes Temple. Add vivid visuals to the show and you'll be completely immersed in the world of Light By The Sea.
