G. A. ROSSINI • Petite messe solennelle
As part of the partnership between the cities of Brno and Stuttgart, the international Ökumenischer Choir der Christus- und St.Konrad-Kirche Stuttgart will perform at a concert on March 27 in Brno, in the Hall of the Merciful Brothers. This concert will offer an interpretation of G. A. Rossini's solemn mass, Petite messe solennelle.
The mass is written for four soloists (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), mixed choir, two pianos and harmonium. In an exceptional international staging, the Stuttgart Choir will be led by the experienced choirmaster Florian Löthe. Pianists Ema Jedlička Gogova and Šárka Bartošová will take the piano parts, while the harmonium, played by the young organist Dávid Sedlář, will add to the musical atmosphere.
Together with the members of the choir, solo singing performances will be presented on stage. Sophie Sauter will sing the soprano part, the alto part is left to Margret Hauser, the tenor to Jo Holzwarth and the bass part will be played by Malte Kebschull. Their vocal harmony and conviction will take the listener on an interesting musical journey.
