The Hungarian and Romany melodies of the band from Brno will get under your skin, get into your veins, lift you up by the chair and certainly won't leave you cold. Emotions and new energy directly from Hazafele.
The band Hazafele (from the Hungarian translation On the way home) was founded in 2017 and since the beginning has been mainly devoted to Roma and Hungarian folklore. Its founders were Šimon Jakubíček (double bass) and David Golas (guitar), who were later joined by Michal Grossmann (violin) and Marek Šnorich (accordion).
The band's primary mission is to bring listeners closer to folk music that they usually don't come across in everyday life; but the ensemble's repertoire also includes well-known melodies such as Monti's Čardáš, Bartók's Romanian Dances or compositions made famous by Věra Bílá. In 2019, the band recorded their first EP album.
The Hazafele band can be heard on Czech Radio, on Radio Proglas and regularly performs at cultural events throughout the country.
