Introducing Alex Rainer - New York based singer, songwriter and musician! He has been releasing music under his own name since 2003. His repertoire includes two EP albums (Sea Age, 2013; Pulaski, 2016) and a CD-only release under the name Creature Comfort in 2009.
Alex Rainer composes and performs original songs on a variety of instruments, with the guitar being one of his main interests. His musical style includes elements of folk, blues, jazz and world music traditions. In addition, he is also classically trained in piano and trumpet. With his self-taught musical abilities, he is proficient on many different instruments. He is also an avid listener of music across genres.
Under the pseudonym Jordasz, he produces electronic music and at the same time devotes himself to analog film photography. As Jordasz, he forms one half of the transatlantic experimental music project Las Wolski together with sound artist lethatechnique from Rotterdam.
In addition to his solo work, he led the Krakow-based power trio Hobo Codes, fronted reggae collective Hub Dub in Boston, composed original music for theater (Wellesley Repertory Theater) and produced albums for other artists (Evelyn). As the guitarist for the indie rock band Honey Wild, he has toured extensively and performed at festivals such as CMJ, POP Montreal and North by Northwest.
