The British quartet The Backbeat Beatles, the world's leading tribute band playing the original work of the Beatles, is heading to the Czech Republic and will commemorate 60 years since the release of the album A Hard Day's Night at festive concerts. Musicians from the cradle of the Beatles, from Liverpool, England, will visit Prague, Brno, Pilsen, Hradec Králové and Jihlava on their Czech tour. The tour's special guest will be Jesus Rodriguez (electric piano) in the role of Billy Preston (additional member of the Beatles).
The group was founded in 1994 by musician, actor and singer Chris O'Neill based on the successful film Backbeat, in which she portrayed the famous Beetles. The film won the British Academy Award (the equivalent of the American Oscar) for Best Music.
Their presentation of Beatles songs is almost identical to the original, not only musically, but also in terms of costumes and overall stage choreography. The group performs in various arenas and theaters not only in their native Britain (including the famous Cavern club in Liverpool, which they sold out). In the last 25 years, they have traveled the whole world and filled large concert arenas in Beijing, New York, Paris, Moscow, Dubai and Hamburg. They played alongside well-known artists such as Spandau Ballet, Shirley Bassey and the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and also performed at prestigious venues such as The Sporting Club Of Monaco, Gleneagles, St Andrews, The Belfry, The Grosvenor Hotel London and others.
The two-hour concert will feature most of the Beatles' greatest hits. Energetic and spontaneous performances, classic costumes and a high level of musicianship guarantee that every Beatles lover will enjoy the evening!
