The band Queenie comes from Prague, the Czech Republic and was established in February 2006 of a bunch of young students. As time went on, this pure enthusiastic project artistically crystallized and after years of a team work they became professionals. They bet on the quality of performance and visual similarity with members of the legendary Queen. They realized that their main genre is the theatre, or as you wish the Concert Theatre, when they externalize a piece of the other artist in specific roles. Basic principles were music authenticity and live performance in the original keys and the approach of every member of the band was subordinated to it. Many years the band remained constant, but under the name of Queenie is signed several musicians. The newest member of the band is guitarist Rudy Neumann, one of founders of well known Czech band The Dymytry. Frontman Michael Kluch, who is original member of the band together with drummer Michal Novak, established himself in musical scene and can be seen in main characters not only in Prague theatres. Bassist, respectively multiinstrumentalist, Martin Binhack and keyboard player, music arranger and the author not only of the scenic music, Martin Otruba, whose recording studio hosted leading Czech artists, are members of the band for a longtime. Queenie played many concerts and performances across two continents, they were successful participants in several talent TV shows and they very appreciate the invitation of Peter Freestone himself, The Secretary of Freddie Mercury, to one of the biggest festival for Queen fans – Freddie Mercury Memorial Day in Montreaux, Switzerland. There in 2008, they performed as the main star of the night as the first Czech performer ever. In last years, the band is very desired performer in Scandinavia, where goes for tours several times a year.
