You will also get to places inaccessible to ordinary spectators, such as backstage or the technical rooms of the theatre. The tour begins at the MAIN ENTRANCE to the Janáček Theatre.
New Music Exhibition: CHAT NOIR
Erik Satie CHAT NOIR, SPORTS ET DIVERTISSEMENTS Hana Hána, Sára Medková (CZ) Erik Satie made his living as a pianist in Parisian cabarets. He therefore also wrote a lot of practical music for this environment. His songs, which to a large extent shaped the typical Parisian atmosphere, were very popular in their time and retain their charm to this day. The program will also be complemented by a selection from the piano cycle Sports et Divertissements (Sports and Entertainments), which Satie accompanied with humorous anecdotes, which were originally intended only for players, as a kind of "conceptual pastime", since the pieces were intended for home music making. However, so that the audience does not miss Satie's amusing comments, they will be performed by singer Hana Hána.
New Music Exhibition: MUSICIRCUS
Erik Satie PARADE, John Cage CHEAP IMITATION, MUSICIRCUS BCO, conductor Pavel Šnajdr closing reception for performers and audience An orchestral version of a unique composition by one of the greatest figures of 20th-century world music, based on the structure of Satie's enigmatic work Socrates (which Cage conceived as a kind of "cheap imitation"). The performance of this composition will be followed by a closing reception for all participants (i.e. performers and audience), which will include a performance of Musicircus, another iconic Cage project. Nothing better can be imagined at the end of the Satie year of the Exposition of New Music.

The musical IN THE MIDDLE
JAMU students reimagine old local Brno stories in their own image. Using today's language, a cheeky and unbridled interpretation of youth, we look back to ancient times when everything was completely different and yet a bit the same. A dynamic short story in which a multitude of characters alternate in an entertaining and dynamic interpretation by five young actors. Violin, cajon and guitar, the tempo is more than dizzying, the wilderness is exuberant. Author and director: Dodo Gombár Production design: Kateřina Vojáčková Music: collective Performers: Terezie Vosáhlová, Irena Freudenschussová, Máří- Magdalena Fotrová, Václav Holinka, Jan Augustin.
Festival Uprostřed: Dailla
Dailla is a singer who sings and composes with her heart and creates with emotions. As a psychology student, she is fascinated by how people feel, think and connect – whether it is love, confusion or frustration with social expectations. “I can be bolder and freer on stage. It is my way of resisting the pressure to be perfect,” she says. In 2023, she collaborated with alternative producer Rhys Braddock, thanks to which her sound shifted towards a more experimental expression. Since 2024, she has been working with producer Marcello, a well-known name on the Czech pop scene, who helps her songs acquire a distinctive and modern sound. Her previous singles such as Middle Stone, Hide and Seek, Running Wild, Cupid or River Flow combine catchy melodies, playful arrangements and distinctive production – music that will stay in your head and you will love to dance to it.

Festival Uprostřed: Elsewhere
Elsewhere is a dynamic musical collective, based in the Vysočina / Brno region. They blend genres and create a kaleidoscopic experience, rooted in improvisation and collective emotions. Their music defies categorization and effortlessly combines elements of indie, pop, alternative and jazz. The band consists of Jiří Šefl (guitar and vocals), Sára Suková (keyboards and vocals), Lenka Titzová (drums, percussion and vocals) and Jakub Mička (bass and synthesizer). Their diverse musical experiences and knowledge allow them to create soundscapes that are both sophisticated and spontaneous, embodying the essence of their artistic exploration. The connection and chemistry began to manifest in the improvisation that refined their style and led to the creation of music that resonates with the shared experiences of those who feel “outside” in this chaotic world. Join us on a journey beyond the ordinary: Let yourself be guided by “Elsewhere!”

The sad guys from Brno blend melancholic lyrics with heavy rhythms in their music, balancing on the edge of emo rock and post punk. They debuted on the scene with their EP Labutě, which reflected the Covid crisis and addressed the topic of separation between lovers during the lockdown and closed borders. Since then, they have released several singles and the EP Terapie, where they mainly experimented with the blending of genres/sounds. The latest single Jizvy focuses on the topic of self-love. Why not start loving all those scars that adorn our bodies?
Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere
Dan Bárta, an eleven-time winner of the Anděl Award in the categories Singer of the Year and Singer of the Quarter Century, became widely known in the 1990s with the band Alice and his performance in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. He also became an integral part of the cult J.A.R. His broad musical outlook was used from the danceable Sexy Dancers to popular songs from films (including Snowboarders, Rafťáci, Horem pádem) to jazz associated with, for example, the Robert Balzar trio. He left his distinctive mark on a number of other domestic musical projects and also performed with the greats of the world music scene (for example, with the phenomenal singer Bobby McFerrin or with Sting's court guitarist Dominik Miller).

Folk Summer Řečkovice 2025: Roman Horký & Kamelot
Roman Horký does not favor any musical style. He gives his songs the coat he feels belongs to them. Sometimes more modern, sometimes more traditional. They are united by their common spirit. Many of Roman Horký's more than three hundred compositions resemble diary entries of the moods and feelings of the singer-songwriter's soul. When we go through his albums, it is as if we have one human life in the palm of our hands. In his records of happiness or sadness, we feel a reflection of what we ourselves live through.

The band Druhá tráva was founded in 1991 by Robert Křesťan and Luboš Malina after their departure from Poutníky. Druhá tráva is characterized by two distinct features - the exceptional authorial and interpretative talent of the singer, lyricist and translator Robert Křesťan and the extraordinary instrumental prowess of the other members of the band. From its inception, the band Druhá tráva has been ranked among the top on the folk & country scene, not only in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Although it is often referred to as bluegrass, it has been mixing multiple styles since its inception. Bluegrass refers rather to the previous engagement of several members of the band with Poutníky from Brno.

Vladimír Mišík founded the band Etc… in 1974. Despite many personnel changes and a two-year ban on activities in the 1980s, the band Etc… continues to record albums and perform to this day.
